The 2018 Tumbumrumba Chardonnay is part of the Rowlee range and represents the very best varietal selections from each vintage. Sourced from mature vineyards in New South Wales, these wines offer exceptional varietal definition and a unique sense of place which contributes to the personality of each wine.
Pale straw with green hues. It is lively with citrus aromas hinting at mature lime and grapefruit. The palate is driven by a beautiful fresh acidity and delivers a texture driven very persistent finish. An outstanding example of Tumbarumba Chardonnay.
The fruit was hand harvested in March 2018 and immediately transported to the winery where it was gently whole bunch pressed. The lightly fined juice was racked to new and 1 year old French oak barriques for fermentation. Following fermentation the wine was aged in oak on lees for 9 months with fortnightly lees stirring. The wine was then blended, lightly fined, filtered and bottled. Released February 2021.
