Rowlee is a family wine estate in Nashdale, in the Orange wine region. Our restaurant, Garden Bar and events bring together estate-grown wines, seasonal produce and the best of the region, with a strong focus on creating memorable food and wine experiences.
We are always interested in hearing from talented chefs who want to be part of a professional, ambitious kitchen team. Opportunities may be available across different levels, with both full-time and part-time roles considered.
About the Role
Depending on your experience and position, you will:
- Prepare and cook seasonal dishes to a consistently high standard
- Work across sections of the kitchen and take ownership of your station
- Contribute to menu development, specials and seasonal produce
- Work with quality regional produce and ingredients grown on the Rowlee estate
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Support restaurant service, weddings, private events and special dining experiences
- Maintain excellent standards of preparation, organisation and kitchen cleanliness
- Follow food safety, WHS and kitchen procedures
- Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste
- Support and mentor junior members of the kitchen team where appropriate
About You
- Experience in a quality restaurant, winery, hotel or similar hospitality environment
- A genuine passion for cooking, produce and hospitality
- Strong kitchen organisation and attention to detail
- Consistent standards of preparation, presentation and cleanliness
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy services
- A positive, professional approach to teamwork
- Willingness to learn, contribute and take responsibility
- Available to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required
Highly Regarded
- Experience in premium or regional destination restaurants
- Formal cookery qualifications
- Experience with weddings, functions or high-volume events
- An interest in local, seasonal and estate-grown produce
- An understanding of wine and food pairing
- Experience mentoring or developing junior chefs
- Ambition to progress into a senior kitchen or leadership role
